Regular practice of yoga as we known is beneficial for the entire body and mind. There are different poses or postures in yoga which are designed to specifically work on different parts of the body and make them stronger. One such pose is “Wind Relieving Pose” also known as the “Gas Releasing Pose”. This posture targets the digestive system and promotes its normal functioning.

Steps To Perform The Wind Relieving Pose:

Lie down on the ground. Keep your legs together on the ground and let your hands rest on the sides. First breathe out. Then when you inhale slowly raise your legs so that they are exactly perpendicular to the ground. Now slowly bend the legs at knees. Let the thighs rest on the abdomen and let the knees and ankles be together. Now encircle the knees with the hands such that both the hands grasp the opposite elbows. Bend the neck so that chin touches the knees. Hold the pose for few seconds. Relax and let the body breathe normally during the pose. After few seconds let the head again touch the ground. Slowly release the hands and raise the legs and bring them back to the ground. Repeat the pose three more times.
