Bromelain is a proteolytic enzyme found in the fruit and the stem of the pineapple plant and is used as a supplemental ingredient. Having 1,000 mg of bromelain along with 500 mg of quercetin at least 4 times a day will reduce the pain.


You should have this in between the meals. Bromelain is also used as an anti-inflammatory agent in injuries such as sprains, surgery, etc.

Nutritional supplements

Having nutritional supplements containing high levels of essential fatty acids (omega 6 and omega 3) helps in reducing sciatic nerve pain. Sciatica is pain or numbness caused due to irritation of the nerve roots leading to the sciatic nerve. Since these fatty acids contain anti-inflammatory properties, they help in eliminating the pain and inflammation caused due to sciatica.
