Acne is a common skin problem. There are many factors that can cause acne. Acne can occur if you do not take proper care of your skin. Acne can be prevented by following a regular skin care regime i.e. scrubbing, cleansing, toning and moisturising. Along with it you should use a face mask especially made to prevent acne, at least once a week. Instead of buying commercial face pack from the market, you can prepare it at home with natural products. Before applying a face mask, make sure to cleanse your face thoroughly. Use a gentle scrub for exfoliation and then wash the face with a cleanser.
It will remove all the dirt and impurities from the skin and the face mask will work better to prevent acne. You should leave the face pack on for at least 15 minutes or till it is semi dry. Do not let the face pack to completely dry on the skin, it may cause wrinkles. After removing the pack always moisturise your face to prevent dryness.
Homemade Face Masks To Prevent Acne
Face Masks For Oily Skin
Take 1 table spoon lemon juice; add 1 tea spoon rose water, 1 tea spoon tomato juice and a pinch of turmeric powder. Apply on the face and leave it on for 15 minutes. Wash with normal water and apply moisturiser.
Lemon is a natural bleaching agent, rose water is soothing, tomato juice helps to remove tan and turmeric is a natural anti septic, hence all the ingredients prevent and cure acne effectively.
Soak 2 table spoons red lentils for 2-3 hours. Grind to make a smooth paste. Add 2 table spoons milk and 1 tea spoon rose water to it. Use this pack to prevent acne. Red lentil adds glow to the face and it makes the skin smooth and soft.
Face Masks For Dry Skin
Glycerine is a natural moisturiser and is suitable for dry skin. Take one part lemon juice and two parts glycerine. Mix well and dab on the face and wash after 15 minutes to prevent acne.
While using eggs for dry skin, take only the yellow part (egg yolk) as it contains fats. Take two egg yolks and beat them lightly. Add 1 table spoon honey and 1 tea spoon plain yogurt and mix well. Apply on the face and wash after 15 minutes.
Face Masks For Combination Skin
Crush two table spoons tulsi leaves to extract the juice. Add equal amount of lemon juice. Apply on face for 15 minutes and wash with normal water to prevent acne.
Mix 1 table spoon nutmeg powder with milk to make a paste. Apply on face and wash after 15 minutes.
