Take Facial Steam

Facial steam is an effective way to stay away from blackheads. It helps to open the poses and unclog oil and dead cells. Overall, steam is very good for skin as it improves blood circulation and provides a glow to the skin. It is easy to do at home, so it will not cost you much.

All you need is water, pot, towel and dried herb (rosemary or lavender). Pour 3 cups of water in the pot and bring it to boil. Remove the pot from the stove and wait for 30 seconds. Cover your head with a towel and place your face over the steam. Stay like this until you feel comfortable. Repeat this for 5 to 10 minutes. Now splash some fresh water on the face.

You need the following ingredients: 1 egg white (take whole egg for dry skin), 2 tablespoons of lemon juice (apple juice for dry skin), and 1 tablespoon honey. Take all the ingredients in a small bowl and mix them well. Spread the mask over the face. Lie down and let it absorb by the skin for 15 to 20 minutes. Then wipe the face with a wet wash cloth. Rinse the face with water and apply a moisturizer.

Use Astringent

Applying astringent on face is an important part of skin care routine. And it is even more beneficial to prevent blackhead formation in the skin. It removes left over grease after cleansing.

To do oil cleansing at home add the following oil together: 1 tablespoon castor oil, 1 tablespoon avocado oil, and 1 tablespoon jojoba oil in a bowl. Take the oil in your arm and apply it on the face. Massage the face for 2 to 3 minutes with fingertips along upward movement.

Let the oil acts on the skin for 30 seconds. Now take hot water in a bowl. The water should not be too hot to burn your skin but warm enough to soften the oil. Soak a wash cloth in the hot water. Then put the wash cloth on the face for 10-15 seconds and wipe the face gently pressing the skin. Dip the cloth in the water again and wipe your face second time. Repeat wiping until all the oil has been removed from the skin.
