Blackheads are ugly formations on the surface of the skin that are result of oxidization of dirt, sebum and dead skin cells that clog the skin pores. As the name suggests blackheads are black in color and make the skin appear dull, lifeless and without glow. Blackheads can also make the skin tone uneven. If left untreated, blackheads turn into pus-filled pimples and acne. Acne is a skin disorder and requires medical intervention in some cases.

So to avoid formation of acne it is important to keep the skin clean and clear of blackheads. There are a variety of scrubs available in the market that claim to remove all blackheads from the skin. It is advised to use home-made scrubs instead of the scrubs that can be bought from any local cosmetic products store.
