Due to the fatty content of avocados, when we consume them , they form an oily coat around the intestinal wall and this will prevent the food particles from getting stuck on to the walls and putrefy, causing ill digestion, absorption of nutrients and resultant bad breath due to the decaying of food particles in intestine. Baking soda helps in restoring the pH balance inside your mouth and also prevents the saliva from turning excessively acidic. Baking soda is also a mild antibacterial and antiseptic and can help in preventing bacterial action inside the mouth.

Early morning brushing can be done with 1/4th teaspoon of baking soda. After every meal, you can use half a teaspoon of baking soda with a glass of water and use it for washing and swishing your mouth thoroughly. However, baking soda may not be an apt remedy for people with hypertension and those who restrict the use of sodium.

Dehydration is another reason why people get halitosis. A dry mouth can cause bacteria to multiply and cause halitosis. This is the reason why we get morning breath. Drinking plenty of water all throughput the day will help in preventing bad breath.
