Glomerulonephritis is a disease associated with the kidneys and it is also referred to as glomerular nephritis. The kidneys contain small blood vessels known as the glomeruli, which help in the process of filtration and removes the toxins and waste from the body. There are more than a million of such glomeruli in each kidney, which perform this function. When an inflammation occurs in these blood vessels glomerulonephritis occurs. In this condition, the glomeruli are damaged and it is no longer able to perform its function of filtration and elimination of the waste and excess fluids in the body.

Herbal Remedies For Glomerulonephritis
Asparagus
The root of asparagus is useful in treating urinary tract infection. Asparagus is helpful in cleansing the blood and soothing inflammation. This herb can be used in several ways. Dry the asparagus and grind it well to make it into a powder. Mix the powder with water and drink this two times a day for at least five to six days.
You can also extract the juice from asparagus. Drinking this juice twice or thrice a day is quite beneficial and helps in eliminating the toxins without dehydrating the body, and maintains the electrolyte levels.
Nettle Seeds
Nettle seeds have positive effect on the kidneys and their functions. It is particularly known to be effective in treating glomerulonephritis. It is a great blood purifier and has anti-inflammatory properties. The external part of this herbal plant has tiny thorns that are acid laden.

Holy Basil Or Tulsi

Ginger
Ginger is universally known as the ultimate healer. This is because of the herb’s antiviral, anti bacterial anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. These qualities help in fighting infections and aids in the process of healing.
Ginger helps in restoring the kidney functions by eliminating the toxins and reducing the inflammation caused due to infection. Take one teaspoon of grated ginger and add this to water. Boil and drink 3-4 cups of this mix every day.
Turmeric
Turmeric is useful in treating several ailments and is well known for its curative qualities. Curcumin is a valuable ingredient found in turmeric, which is known to be beneficial in the treatment of glomerulonephritis. This is a great remedy because it helps in reducing the inflammation and improves the kidney functions.
Turmeric is an effective detoxifier, as it helps in removing the toxins from the body. Turmeric could be had by mixing a teaspoon of it with a glass of milk. It is advised to drink this mix two times every day to achieve desired results.
