Lemon And Grape Fruit Foot Scrub

Citrus fruits are better for oily skin as it can remove excess oil. However, if you plan to use them, make sure that you moisturise your skin immediately after the scrubbing process.
Aromatic Foot Scrub
How about a foot scrub that spreads the exhilarating aroma all around you while your feet bask in its goodness? For making an aromatic foot scrub, take half a cup of table salt and add the same quantity of almond oil to it. Mix well and add a few drops of Eucalyptus, peppermint and lavender oil. You can now use this mixture for rubbing on the feet, especially the callused areas of the skin. Wash off with warm water. Aromatic foot scrub gives the foot the necessary relaxation and pampering, leaving the skin on the foot extremely soft.
For making aromatic foot scrub, you need not stick to this regime. You may use any aromatic oil for this purpose and mix with the other ingredients of the scrub. But make sure that the ingredients and the aromatic oil that you choose give a pleasant smell when mixed together rather than checking its aroma individually.
Fruit scrubs with fruits give that extra nutrition and shine to your feet. There are many fruits to choose from. Strawberry is a great choice for making a foot scrub. The aroma of strawberry along with the sloughing action of salt will make the skin velvety and soft.
For making a strawberry foot scrub, take a bowl of strawberries and mash them to a paste. Add two tablespoons of sweet almond oil to this mixture. Empty 2-3 vitamin E tablets and add some sea salt to it. Mix well to form a paste. Massage into your feet for 15-20 minutes, taking care to rub all the calluses and dead skin cells. Rinse with warm water and pat dry.
Coffee Foot Scrub
Take equal amounts of ground coffee, sea salt and corn meal and mix them well. Add 5-10 drops of jojoba oil, 2-3 drops of peppermint oil and 2-3 drops of lavender oil. Stir thoroughly to form a paste. Massage on the rough areas of the feet including the calluses and dead cells. The abrasive nature of coffee and salt together takes care of all the exfoliation needs. You can scrub your feet for as long as you want using this scrub.
Calluses need strong treatment methods for getting best results. For this first you have to soak your feet in warm water for making them soft. Once the calluses are softened, they can be easily scrubbed off with abrasive foot scrubs.
Take two tablespoons of sea salt and add two tablespoons of calendula oil and a few drops of lemon balm oil and orange oil. Mix well and refrigerate the mixture for at least one hour. Soak your feet in warm water for an hour. You can add a few drops of olive oil in the warm water to prevent your feet from becoming dry.
Now take the scrub out from the refrigerator and apply on the calluses. Rub well for a few minutes until the calluses and the dead cells start loosening up and finally come off. Do this several times until you are done with all the calluses. Remember not to rub vigorously and for a long time. You can do it every day for a few days before you get all the dead skin cells out and your feet are perfectly soft.
