Shingles are the viral infection that is very painful and generally causes skin problems like rashes, and burning pain. It is the result of chicken pox infection that you can have any time in your life whose outer effects can go away, but the virus still remains in the nervous system that causes Shingles. Some of the natural remedies to cure shingles are:

Apple Cider Vinegar

Take a half-cup of apple cider vinegar and mix it with the two cups of cold water. After making this mixture, take the small cotton ball and soak in this acidic mixture.

Take a cotton ball out of the cup and apply it softly to the rashes or other affected areas. Always make sure to apply it in the upward direction, and it will provide you relief from the acute pain.

Cold Effect

In order to reduce such pain it’s better to keep the affected area cold. For such purpose, you can take ice and wrap it in the towel or any other clean cloth. After that, apply it to the affected area for around 15 to 20 minutes to stop the pain.

Aspirin Mixed With Alcohol

Many of you may find aspirin tablets in your home very easily. So take two tablets and make powder of them. After that, mix it with two tablespoons of alcohol or chloroform and make a paste. Apply this paste to the affected area and let it stay for about 20 minutes and then rinse it.

Avoid The Humid Areas

Apart from providing cold compress to the infected area it’s also required to stay in cool place rather than in a humid area for early relief.

Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera is a great solution for various skin problems and in order to cure shingles it is also very effective. Take Aloe Vera gel, leek juice and raw honey and blend them altogether to make the paste. Apply this solution over the affected area to get early relief from pain.

Dietary

In order to cure shingles naturally you also have to change your eating habits. You have to avoid food that is rich in amino acid like cereal grains, chocolate, seeds and nuts; rather you can eat a juicy pear because it supplies a great amount of acid known as antiviral caffeic acid. Apart for this red pepper, licorice is also very effective for such situation.

Herbs

Herbs also give a cool effect to relieve from pain. Take some mint leaves and make their paste to apply on the blisters and rashes. For more effective results, you can also add some drops of nail polish remover and rinse them after applying for 15 minutes.

Baking Soda

In order to have cool effect add some baking soda powder to your bathtub or in the bucket. Make sure that the water is lukewarm and take a bath from this water.

Oiling

You can also do oiling of the affected area that assists in skin healing. The oil that you can use for this purpose is either lavender oil or tea tree oil.

Cleanliness

Always make sure that the affected area is clean and dry.
