Onion is a natural cure for furuncles. It has antiseptic and antimicrobial properties. The flavonoids and potassium salt in onions have anti-inflammatory effect. Onion juice can be applied on the infected region three times daily to remove pus.

Onions Juice


Raw onion slices can be heated and placed or can be directly placed over the boil and wrapped with a cloth. The heat generated by the onions will help in the healing process. Onions hasten the ripening of the boils and consequently aid in bursting and drainage of it.


Garlic has antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties. It is a powerful detoxifier for the body. Crush a few garlic cloves, make a paste, and apply it on top of the boil. Otherwise, apply garlic extract on it. You can heat the garlic cloves and place them on the boil for minimum 10 minutes several times in a day.


Consuming raw garlic can also help heal the boil. Garlic enlarges the blood capillaries, helps in better blood circulation, and heals the wound fast. It reduces pain and swelling. Continue to squirt garlic extract or juice on the boil until it is completely cured.


Turmeric is an excellent cure for boils. It is the best home remedy for this condition. It has anti-inflammatory properties, antibacterial and anti-viral properties. It is an effective blood purifier and a topical antiseptic. Mix turmeric with milk and make a paste.


Apply this on top of the infected region. It will reduce pus and swelling as well as quickens the healing process. This can be applied thrice a day. You can mix one-teaspoon turmeric powder with warm milk or water and consume it to cure boils. This remedy will cure boils in 3 days.


It is considered the most effective cure for boils. Take some leave s and make a paste by adding a few drops of water. Apply it on the infected area. You can also add some pure ghee along with slightly roasted neem leaves to make an ointment by mashing them together.

Neem Leaves

This can be used for treating boils. A piece of neem bark can be rubbed with water to make a paste and use it for boils. Neem has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. It aids in rejuvenation of cells and heals the boil faster. It protects against further infection.

Hot Compress

Applying heat on the affected area will increase the blood circulation and will stimulate the white blood cells, which fight any infection in the body. This will help in the healing process and will hasten the curing. Dip a clean cloth in hot water and then place it on the furuncle for 5 minutes.

Repeat the process again for 15-20 minutes. Adding salt to hot compress can be more beneficial. You repeat this five times a day. It will reduce the swelling and aid in busting of the boil.
