Hot Oil

Oiling your hair with hot oil is one of the best natural cures for dry scalp. It treats the problem from its root and provides good long-term effects. Firstly, heat the oil and then apply it to the scalp through your fingertips. In order to make oil provide the positive effects by reaching the scalp you can use cotton balls. Leave this oil on the scalp for some time to provide its effects and after that wash it with mild warm water and herbal shampoo.

Coconut And Olive Oil

These two oils are very effective home remedy for such problem. You can apply them to your scalp as per your preference and after that take a towel.

Soak the towel in the warm water and cover your head with this towel. This warm effect of water from the towel gives moisture to your head and assist oil to reach the roots of the scalp for better effects.

Aloe Vera Gel

Almost every one of you might have an Aloe Vera plant at your home. It is one of the best natural therapies to treat dry scalp where you only have to take a leaf from the plant and split off the gel from that leaf.

After that, apply this gel to the scalp with your fingertips using the free hands. Leave it for about 30 minutes or more and after that wash it. It is also beneficial for other skin related problems.

Shampooing

Another reason for ‘dry scalp’ is infrequent shampooing. So make sure to wash your hair twice or thrice a week. Along with this, wash your hair nicely with cold water after applying shampoo because many times improper rinse leads shampoo to left out, over the scalp and it can also cause itching problem.

Vinegar

After shampooing your hair, it will be beneficial if you add a teaspoon of vinegar to water and apply it to your scalp. The main purpose behind this is: the vinegar helps in providing conditioning effect to your hairand also removes the residue left shampoo from the scalp.

Herbs

To provide a herbal effect to your scalp one of the best options is the Neem leaf. Take out all the extracts from the neem leaves and apply it to your scalp with free hands in circular motion. It is one of the best solutions to get rid of dry scalp along with other problems like itching scalp and hair fall.

Homemade Shampoo

For best effects you can also make your own shampoo at home using fenugreek seeds. You only have to soak these seeds in water at least for 12 hours. After that, grind them to make a thick paste and use it for a hair wash purpose. It provides moisture to the dry scalp along with the best texture to your hair.

Dietary

Apart from all these remedies you can also make changes in your diet to cure dry scalp related problems. For this you should take food that will be rich in zinc, vitamins, minerals, and iron and omega3 fatty acids.
