Share

While pregnancy is a natural phenomenon embraced by all women, things are not always hunky dory when it comes to the actual task. Many women who are young as well as old find it difficult to conceive in spite of all the right moves and when they have everything like health, happiness and right environment going for them.

Many technological advances have developed in the field of infertility and they are surely the best possibilities lined up for women to conceive artificially. But many may not be able to afford the cost associated with such treatments and there would be a few who would have reached a point of desperation after having tried all the possible treatment options available on earth. For a change, let’s analyse the natural treatment methods for attaining pregnancy.

Herbs for Pregnancy

Soy Isoflavones

With natural estrogens present in soy isoflavones, the estrogen imbalance that may have caused hormonal fluctuations in the body of a woman will be set right and the body becomes receptive towards pregnancy naturally. Around 80-100 milligrams of soy isoflavones can be taken as capsules daily. Soy capsules must be taken from the 3rd day of your menstrual cycle to the seventh day or the fifth day to the ninth day. Soy products with isoflavones will naturally increase the estrogen production in the body, helping with the production of eggs.

Evening Primrose Oil

Evening primrose oil must be taken before the ovulation takes place to facilitate better texture and quantity of cervical mucus, from day one of your menstrual cycle until the day of ovulation, which is the 14th or the fifteenth day of your menstruation.  The role of cervical mucus is very important in helping the sperms to pass through the cervix and reach the uterus. Depending on the amount of mucus that has to be produced, which varies with every individual, the dosage of evening primrose oil varies from 1500 -3000 milligrams a day.

Flax Seeds

Flax seeds too are known to balance hormone levels in the body. They also help in increasing cervical mucus which again aids the sperms in reaching the uterus without fail. A teaspoon of flax oil every day is sufficient. Ensure that the oil is not rancid and prepared under optimum conditions. You can also chew on a teaspoon of flax seeds which is a better option than the oil.

Natural Progesterone

Natural progesterone creams must be taken after the ovulation is complete as it is helpful in making the luteal phase of your cycle strong, enabling the eggs to have more time in planting itself inside the lining of the uterus. Progesterone can be taken as pills or used as a suppository or a cream. It must be stopped once ovulation starts.

Ovulation Period

Once the cervical mucus is adequate and you are ready for conception, check your ovulation dates with a predictor kit. You can also check this by feeling the inside of the cervix which will have clear mucus like an egg white and soft, wet and high cervix which is open for the reception of the sperms. This is the right time for intercourse.
