Avocados were recognized for their benefits as early as the Egyptian period. They used it as a natural moisturizer and passed it along for generations. Fast forward to the modern times, and the avocado fruits still surprise us with its amazing hair properties. It is hugely beneficial in keeping your hair supple and shiny and goes deep into your scalp to nourish from within. They are also loaded with vitamins and minerals that are beneficial for dry hair and works at its best when used as a hair mask. 1. Avocado And Olive Oil Hair Mask

This is one of the best hair masks to use if you are suffering from dry hair. Olive oil has natural hydrating agents in them. Together with avocado, they are very beneficial in reducing the dryness quotient of your hair and keeps your scalp hydrated at all times. For making this mask, take one ripe avocado fruit and scoop out its flesh. Add two tablespoons of olive oil to this and mash well in a bowl. Add a tablespoon of honey to this mixture and mix well. Now dampen your hair and apply this paste onto your hair. You can use it till the hair tips and leave it to rest for about 30 minutes. Later using cold water or lukewarm water, rinse your hair well.

2. Avocado And Banana Hair Mask

This is also one of the masks that you can use if you are suffering from dry hair as banana has deep conditioning properties. Take out a ripe avocado fruit and mash it well with a ripe banana. You can add a tablespoon of olive oil to this mixture and mix well. Apply it on your damp hair and let it cool for about 30 minutes. Wash your hair well using a mild shampoo, and you can make use of this mask twice a month for the desired results.

3. Avocado And Egg Hair Mask

Egg yolks are very beneficial for conditioning your hair and also in making them appear softer. Combining with avocado, the mask has amazing hydrating properties and can give your hair the essential nourishment it needs. Take half a piece of ripe avocado and blend it well with an egg yolk in a blender. Apply this paste on your hair, once again working till your hair tips. After cooling for about 30 minutes wash your hair with cold water. Avoid using hot water to rinse your hair for this procedure.

4. Avocado And Oatmeal Hair Mask

Oatmeals are loaded with antioxidants that can breathe life into your hair. Crush the oatmeal first in a grinder. Now add half a cup of the ground oatmeal to one ripe avocado fruit and mash well. Add a cup of raw milk to this paste and blend it well without any chunks. You can even add a few drops of olive oil to this mixture. Apply it on your hair- especially on your scalp and let it cool for about 30 minutes. Rinse your hair thoroughly and use a mild shampoo if required. You can use this procedure once in 2 weeks for best results.

5. Avocado And Aloe Vera Hair Mask

Aloe Vera gel can be very beneficial in controlling the excess oil production in your scalp. They are also used for regaining the strength of your hair, and together with avocado, it can rejuvenate your hair from deep within. Scoop out a ripe avocado of its flesh and add 3 tablespoons of Aloe Vera juice to it. Now add 2 tablespoons of raw coconut oil to this and mix well in a bowl. For even better results you can add a tablespoon of lime juice to this mixture and mix well. Apply this paste on your hair and your scalp and massage gently if needed. After 30 minutes, wash your hair with cold water and use a mild moisturizer if required. You can repeat this procedure every two weeks for better results.
