5 Best Ways To Get Soft Hair Overnight

Share

If you have neglected your hair for too long and your hair has become dry and frizzy, you can soften your tresses overnight with simple homemade hair treatments. A moisturizing product when left on the hair overnight helps in replenishing the moisture lost from the locks. The hair soaked in the moisturizer for hours becomes soft and lustrous. In the morning, after washing your hair with your regular shampoo, your hair will feel soft. If your hair is naturally dry, here are some of the best ways to get soft hair overnight.

1. Coconut Milk And Rosemary

Coconut milk is an excellent natural moisturizer for the hair. It nourishes and strengthens the hair and makes it soft, smooth and silky. You will need ¾-cup unsweetened coconut milk, three tablespoons of chopped rosemary leaves and a teaspoon of vitamin E oil. Pour the coconut milk in a pan and add the rosemary leaves. For 25 minutes simmer the mixture over low heat. Strain the rosemary infused coconut milk. Add the vitamin E oil. Massage your hair with the coconut milk mixture. Wear a shower cup and allow the rosemary infused coconut milk to sit on the hair overnight. Next morning, rinse your hair.

2. Castor Oil And Olive Oil

A mixture of castor oil and olive oil when applied to the tresses makes the hair soft and smooth and adds shine to the locks. To get soft hair overnight, mix castor oil and olive oil in equal quantities. Let your hair soak in the oil overnight. Next morning, wash your hair with mild shampoo. Your hair will become soft after the overnight oil treatment.

3. Fenugreek And Coconut Oil

Fenugreek infused coconut oil helps in making the hair soft. It also helps in making the hair strong and reduces dandruff. Take a handful of fenugreek seeds and boil them for a few minutes in some coconut oil. Allow the mixture to cool down. Massage your scalp and hair with the fenugreek infused coconut oil. Leave it on your hair overnight. The next day, wash your hair with your regular shampoo.

4. Oil And Egg

Egg contains cholesterol that helps in keeping the hair soft. An overnight hair mask that contains oil and egg helps in making the hair soft and smooth the next day. To prepare the hair mask you will need two tablespoons of coconut oil, two tablespoons of olive oil and one raw egg. If you are using solid coconut oil, warm up the oil till it becomes liquid and allow it to cool down to room temperature. Whisk the egg and add it to the coconut oil. Add olive oil and mix the ingredients well. Saturate your hair with the oil and egg mixture. Pull up your hair on top of your head and cover with a shower cap. Leave the mixture on your hair overnight. Next day, rinse off the mixture with cold water and shampoo your hair.

5. Avocado

Avocado is rich in natural fats that helps soften the hair. You can apply mashed avocado to your hair and leave it on overnight. However, for better result, mix the mashed pulp of an avocado with an egg yolk and two tablespoons of coconut milk. Put the three ingredients in a blender and blend until you get a smooth paste. Apply the mixture to your hair and wear a shower cap. Leave the mixture on your hair overnight. Wash your hair the next morning.
