A burning skin could be the result of an allergy, burn or an insect bite. The skin becomes inflamed and steps have to be taken to soothe the skin and heal the cause of the burning sensation. At times, the use of certain chemicals can trigger skin reactions and cause allergies and burning sensation of the skin. Simple home remedies can be administered to provide relief to the skin.
The Home Remedies Of Burning Skin Are-
Vinegar is a disinfectant and neutralises the burning sensation. Synthetic vinegar can be used, and apple cider vinegar too is a good option. It can be taken twice daily(1 tsp) in a glass of warm water with honey. It can be diluted and topically dabbed on the affected area.
Lemon has astringent properties that can calm an irritated skin. Dab a few drops od lemon juice on the burning area to calm the irritation and relieve the burning sensation. The rash dries out and the allergy is slowly diminished in a few applications.
Lavender Essential Oil
This oil is astringent and antiseptic in nature. It aids in speedy healing and is a great pain reliever. Lavender oil is very thick and should be mixed with a carrier oil like olive oil and applied over the affected area. It helps in treating burnt skin and its scars also.
This acts as a shield and protects the skin from inflammation. Petroleum jelly acts an an antiseptic and helps in reducing the flare-up in the skin.
Aloe gel is antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory. It not only soothes the burning sensation but relieves pain and helps in quick relief from the allergy causing the burning sensation.
Fill a tub of warm water and add a cup of raw oatmeal to it. Now soak yourself in the bath for about 1/2 hour in this antiseptic, disinfectant bath. All the affected areas are soaked and get healed faster. This can be done daily till the burning sensation persists.
Cover ice cubes with a cloth and dab over the burning rashes. This is instant relief from the burning sensation and this remedy can be followed every time the burning feeling comes up.
Calendula Essential Oil
Boil some water and mix in 2 drops of calendula oil in it. Now dab it over the affected areas and leave. Relief is immediately experienced and the burning rashes are cooled, the bacteria causing germs are disinfected and the rash is speedingly healed.
Skin irritation, bacterial and fungal infection, burning sensation can all be soothed by applying chamomile tea on the rashes causing the burning sensation.
Beer is a disinfectant and can be dabbed on the affected area to soothe the burns. It can be applied a few times till the rashes disappear and the burning sensation is reduced.
Put some baking soda on the affected area to disinfect the irritation and allergy.It can be diluted with water and applied on the skin, several times a day till there is respite.
Grind some holy basil leaves, mix olive oil, lemon juice, crushed garlic and apply on the irritated skin. This will soothe the irritated and burning skin.
This spice is purely anti-microbial and one of the best remedies for treating skin rash like conditions. Take some cinnamon powder and add lemon juice to it. Dab it on the irritated skin and leave for drying. Wash and follow a repeat therapy if required.
Mix lemon juice to tomato puree and apply onto the skin. Let it dry and then wash off. Repeat this treatment to rectify the skin condition and soothe the burning sensation.
Cod Liver Oil
Cod liver oil can be mixed with vitamin E and applied on the skin. The omega fats work very well on the skin and heals rashes and infections effectively.
