If you want to use these to keep dandruff away, mash two bananas and mix it with a tablespoon of lemon juice, a tablespoon of honey and a tablespoon of olive or coconut oil. Mix all the ingredients very well and prepare a mask. Generously apply it on your scalp and leave it for half an hour before washing off. You can either rinse it with water or use a mild shampoo afterwards. Try this mask once a week for best results.
2. Egg And Yogurt Mask
To get rid of dandruff, use the egg and yogurt mask at home. To make this simple, yet effective mask take one egg and mix it with a tablespoon of lemon juice. Add two tablespoons of olive oil or coconut oil and a cup of yogurt to it. Mix well to prepare a homemade hair mask. Leave it for 20 to 30 minutes and wash off with herbal or a sulfate free shampoo. 4. Aloe Vera And Eucalyptus Oil Mask

While the Aloe Vera moisturizes the scalp and helps to remove bacterial infection, the oil rejuvenates the scalp. To make this hair mask, mix 4 tablespoons of pure Aloe Vera gel with 2 to 3 drops of Eucalyptus essential oil. Apply this mask on your scalp and hair. Keep it for an hour and wash off with cold or lukewarm water. Try to use this hair mask two to three times in a week for best results.
5. Garlic And Honey Mask
Salicylic acid, an ingredient found in garlic is extremely efficient in keeping dandruff at bay. So garlic can be effectively used to get rid of dandruff. To make the garlic and honey mask, crush 5 to 7 cloves of garlic and keep it in a small bowl for 10 minutes. As it releases the juices, add 7 tablespoon of honey.
