Back pain originates from the muscles, nerves, bones and joints of the spine. Its onset can be sudden or it can be a chronic pain. Sometimes the pain is constant and sometimes it occurs intermittently. The pain can be sharp and piercing causing a burning sensation or it can be a dull ache. It can even radiate into the arms, hands, legs and feet. Sometimes other symptoms such as tingling, weakness or numbness are also present with the pain.
