Cardamom is a well known anti-depressant and can be used as home remedy. The best way to consume cardamom would be by making cardamom tea. To make this tea, boil one cup of water, and add sugar and grinded seeds of cardamom to it. Boil for some more time and then remove from the heat. Drinking this tea would definitely improve the mood of person having depression.

All fruits have the property of boosting up the mood of person consuming them, but apple goes a step further in this regard. The vitamins present in this fruit, especially vitamin B, along with minerals like potassium and phosphorus can work wonders for depression. They help our body cells in the synthesis of Glutamic acid, which is responsible for maintaining the health of our nerve cells.
