You can also make tea with basil leaves and sage for combating depression.
To prepare this tea, boil a cup of water and add ¼ teaspoon of basil leaves and half teaspoon of sage to it. Boil it for some time, strain and drink twice a day. Drinking lavender tea thrice a day can also be an effective home remedy for depression. You can also take licorice tea thrice daily for the same purpose. Lemon balm is also an effective anti-depressant.
